Also, I have checked my folders table in the db - it looks ok no double /.

It is a fresh install, not an upgrade. So there is no connection to Scott's problem.

I don't understand what is the connection between Scott's blog and this problem.

The following folder names: myfolder, myfolder/ and myfolder//

are not the same for DNN, then I want to be sure all of you do not have the myfolder// problem.

To make it clear: When you ask for roles by using the DNN core security functions, the myfolder// returns nothing and the myfolder/ returns "administrators" as the default when no roles are assigned to that folder. Then, you see?

Just try it yourslef, log in as an admin and try to load a pic into your editor. It won't happen.

I was asking that because that was not happening to my installation and for most users that was not happening inside other folders than root.

I was just trying to get more info about all kinds of problems. If you don't want to help with that, there is no problem. I created this provider for free by using my free time and thanks to good there is a lot of people that help a lot providing feedback.

B.T.W. I found the reason for both problems and created a workaroud. The fix will be released tis week. The main problem is the / and // because it is managed differently than 3.2.2

hi locopon

Of course I wanna help, and thank you for creating the provider.

I just said that My installation has no problem of the doubles slashes issue. I had a fresh install of dnn333, while the problem happens with an upgrade install and not a fresh one. and I also looked at my folders table in my DB - There where no double slashes at all, not in any of the forms: fff/fff// or fff//fff ets.

Therfore, I don't think there is a connection between our problem and the double slashes probelm.

Regards

Eden

The last information I need is:

1) Create a folder inside the root

2) Do upload tests to that folder and not to root (By using the image gallery). The quick upload will always try to add the new file to root, so don't use it. Do it being admin

Thanks in advance

I tested on a site which is a clean install of DNN 3.3.4, so there's absolutely no problem with the folder structure.

I gave your suggestion a try, Mauricio and it worked fantastic! Creating folders and uploading files completed succesfully.

So that only happens with quick upload feature, doesn't it? I hope the new release will come soon

Best regards
