Hi
had a problem where i couldn't find the right security tab to install DNN on XP Pro, tried everything that restarted windows in SAFE mode F8 at startup, let run then login select folder right click the select the permissions needed

hope this helps

1. Open Windows Explorer.
 
2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
 
3. Click the View tab, click to clear the Use simple file sharing (recommended) checkbox, and then click OK

4. Right click on folder and select sharing and security

5. You know have a security tab you can use to set NTFS security.

To get the security tab your file system needs to be NTFS. Many XP systems are delivered with FAT.
