Can someone please provide a sample of how to use the cores Pager Control? I am attempting to page a datalist control. After completing my own home-grown paging method (and I am not very happy with it), I decided that it would be nice to use the DNN framework as much as possible. So.. any help would be much appreciated!

TIA,

John

Suggest to look at the code in the CORE admin\users\Users.ascx.vb

Search for "CurrentPage" and "ctlPagingControl" keyword

Example to use DNN paging control is in in line 210 to 220

I am well on my way, but I have a few more questions. I can't seem to syncronize the pager with the actual results. I have the database returning my results in a paging compatible format, I have the initial page load working ok, but when I click the controls linkbuttons it doesn't give me the expected result.

How can I set the default page index in the control?

How do I get the previous and next buttons to work with the desired result?

TIA,

John

Thanks for the help getting the paging control to work. I have it working 100% now. I like this control but it was not very well documented for use other than looking at what the dev team did for the user module. Plus the user’s module doesn't use reflection it uses ADO.NET.

I think, next time, I might create a new derived control that uses the paging control and a dataset for a more developer friendly experience.
