Since upgrading to DNN 4.3.5, I cannot add a parent or child portal.  I complete the add portal form, click create portal, and I get the following error "Error creating Profile Definitions"

When I navigate to the portals page, the portal is listed, but the portal alias is empty, and the users column has a zero in it.  If I click on the pencil to edit the portal, I get the following error" Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.PortalManagement.SiteSettings.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---"

Up until the latest release, I haven't had any issues adding portals.  Does anyone have any ideas?

I had a similar problem, I had set the 'local path' in the IIS 'home directory' tab set incorrectly it was ...

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\DotNetNuke_2\WebSite\Portals\7 ....

should've just been

C:\Inetpub\stage\DotNetNuke_2\WebSite ...

this post helped me suss it out ...
