Hi all,

I need to populate a Dropdownlist with a list of the registered users with UserName for the Text and UserID for the Value, can anyone tell me how this is done in DNN or if there is already something like that I can use?

Thanks in Advance,

Lee

Should give you the idea...

                    UserController userController = new UserController();
                    listDataSource = UserController.GetUsers(Utilities.GetModuleUserControl(this).PortalId, true);
                    dataValueField = "UserID";
                    dataTextField = "FullName";
                    break;

this.DataSource = listDataSource;

(I have a custom DDL control - so you need to tweak it slightly)

Here's a more traditional VB way...

If Not Page.IsPostBack Then
     Dim ctlUsers As New Users.UserController
     Dim UserList As ArrayList = ctlUsers.GetUsers(PortalId, True)

     DropDownList1.DataSource = UserList
     DropDownList1.DataTextField = "FullName" 'Could use DisplayName
     DropDownList1.DataValueField = "UserID"
     DropDownList1.DataBind()
End If
