I am using DNN 3.2.2 and I can't figure out how to edit the text of the Privacy Statement or the Term of Use which are automatically generated with my DNN install.  I can see the pages but even when I am logged in as the ADMIN,  it does not allow me to edit the wording.  Anyone got this figured out?

Use the language editor, available from Admin::Languages menu item.

By default, GlobalResources.resx file  is selected, scroll down to msgTerms.Text and mspPrivacy.txt.

Edit the text using the HTML editor, available using the up right arrow button right of the textbox.

Hi Leupold,

I went to the Languages Menu and it does show an "icon" of the GlobalResources.resx. file but I am unable to open it.  It is just an icon. I also tried this through my hosting site but i don't have the required program "visual studio" I think, to open the resx. file.  Do I need to buy the right program like visual studio to edit the resx file or is there another way of doing it?

Thanks

usually you only need to agree to  a question like "Create custom version of this resource file" and you can edit as you like. You can also edit the file directly using a text editor, but in this case, the file gets overwritten on each DNN upgrade.

Is there a way to remove the links at the bottom of the pages instead of editing it? I would like to remove the Privacy Statement and Terms Of Use links from the bottom of all pages on the site.

Is this possible? If so can you explain how?

Thanks
