That is a good question, and one I don't have an answer for.  It kind of leads a person to believe it is hand coded.  Maybe they started with the DNNMenu then just made it static.  That would be a great way to make it do exactly what you want, and be much faster.

I am not sure what menu that is, but it is definitely not Solpart nor DNNMenu.

I do have a question for you though.  If the DNNMenu were to natively support horizontal submenus, would it be expected to be an all or nothing, or would you expect it to be configurable on a level by level basis?

Meaning, is there the need to design it in such a way that the first level is horizontal, the second is horizontal, but the third is vertical?

Thanks for the resposes fellas. I have alot to read up on now with the new menu.

To answer your question Jon, Just imagining it in my head, makes it look not appealing. I think having configurable design on a level by level basis is ok, but would be perfectly happy with all or nothing. Besides the all or nothing would be more pleasing to the eye, as long as you don't have a alot of levels..2 is cool, 3 is pushing it, and I couldn't bring myself to have 4 downlevel menus if they are all horizontal, and to have them switch to vertical would look funny...I think having that option is great, but there has to be some restraint on the part of the developer/skinner to not go overboard. theres my 2 cents.

It's great to see the new menu, I hadn't heard much about it before. I am really excited about getting familiar with it and incorporating it into my portals and skins.

I am impressed with the sites in the showcase, it's been fun checking out what others are doing to push the DNN envelope further along.
