This has nothing to do with edit permissions. The problem is on module caching: when a module is cached it is not "recreated" as normal modules. Instead the final html is saved/retrieved directly.

If your module should present different output depending on the active language then you cannot use caching.


Hi Vincenc,

How do I disable caching for my modules then?
I tried setting the cachetime at 0 in the moduledefenition, but stil only logged as admin/host the localized labelcontent showed.

Is there a "middle" ground where I can use the best of both worlds?

For example, I'd like to use resource files to give other users of my modules an easy way to change some of the strings should they not like them, this may not be a completely different langauge they may just want to change the wording.

At the same time I would also like to utilise caching as the data doesn't change that frequently and would therefore benefit performance.

Is there any way I can make caching and localisation compatible with each other?
