Hi Folks,

When you create a link and choose a file, instead of a direct link to the file LinkClick.aspx is used instead.

I would prefer that a direct link is used rather than going via LinkClick.aspx

Has anyone done this ?

Thanks

Tony

Hi Sebastion,

That is okay for me but the main users of the site wouldn't know URL if it bit them on the bum ;-)

I agree - but what is your difficulty using linkClick?

There seems to be a problem with LinkClick in 4.3.5 with determining the file type.

If I create a link to a PDF then instead of getting a PDF appear in a browser I get a message asking me if I want to save it. In previous versions it worked fine.

It has to do with the MIME type being sent by LinkClick. Other people have reported this problem although I have no idea if anything is being done about it.
