Using the core user registration module, created a role of Members (private) so that users will register then be approved by Administrator to get access to pages with "view" permission set to "Members." Site Settings security type is set to "Private." Everything fuctions as expected, except no email is generated to alert the Administrator of a new registration, nor to confirm approval for the new user, even though the "registration successful" confirmation page states that they will be sent

I can't find any settings that would seem to switch on or off the automatic emails. Can anyone help?

Thanx.

I'm pretty sure your SMTP settings may be the problem. If you didn't change anything else that is definitely your problem right there.

Try the 'test smtp server' link (I think that is what it's called anyway).

THAT WORKED!!

Found the SMTP settings under the Host > Host. Generated emails work correctly now.

THANKS!
