I looked thru the vb code and tried a few more ideas - but still without success. I noticed in the VB code that you are not using "ClickAction=Postback" to fire the NodeClick event. Does this mean that the NodeClick is fired by default i.e when no ClickAction is specified. I must be missing something - but please check this code:

in my .ascx:

   <DNN:DNNMenu id="MyDNNMenu" runat="server" OnNodeClick="DNNMenu_NodeClick" </DNN:DNNMenu>

in my codebehind file:

private void PopulateTree()

{

    MenuNode objNode = null;

   int intIndex = MyDNNMenu.MenuNodes.Add();

   objNode = MyDNNMenu.MenuNodes[intIndex];

   objNode.Text = "Click Me";

}

public void DNNMenu_NodeClick(object sender, DNNMenuNodeClickEventArgs args)

{

int i = 0;

}

Can anyone please tell me what is wrong with this code?

My sample is in VB.  It allows an event to be synced with the Handles keyword.

Private Sub MyDNNMenu_NodeClick(ByVal source As Object, ByVal e As DNNMenuNodeClickEventArgs) Handles MyDNNMenu.NodeClick

I believe you need to add your handler manually in C# to get this to work (I don't think it automatically does this). I think you would do something like

MyDNNMenu.NodeClick += new System.EventHandler(this.MyDNNMenu_NodeClick);

(Off the top of my head... don't have time to research)

Was anyone ever able to get this to work?

 AddHandler MyDNNMenu.NodeClick, AddressOf DNNMenuNodeClick

I have added the addhandler:

I have setup the DNNMenu to be Postback:

 objMenuNode.ClickAction = eClickAction.PostBack

and added Addhandler for the click event but without luck...

 Private Sub DNNMenuNodeClick(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.DNNMenuNodeClickEventArgs)

'No code every gets executed here?
End Sub
