Please advise.  I am trying to use this control under DNN 4.3.6 and VWD.

I have read the pdfs and Michael Jackson's tutorial.

My own test (using the webcontrols.dll copied from a 4.3.6 website) successfully does the retrieving of names etc (like the webcontrols site demo) but has 2 faults:

a.  When there is a list of names presented, I press down-arrow to access one, but it wont let me proceed beyond the first name in the list.  ?!

b.  Pressing ENTER when in the list of names has no effect.  I would like it to perform as in the webcontrols site demo where the name is moved into the text box and the list of names vanishes.

Thanks

Do you mean Michael Washington's tutorial ?

Did you download the code for the http://webcontrols.dotnetnuke.com site? Also there are a lot of documents here:

http://webcontrols.dotnetnuke.com/documents.aspx. It's a massive amount of stuff to read I know but the problem is Client API stuff is so complicated you really have to dig that deep to get a handle on it.

I do apologise, Michael - I was obviously working too late at night.  Of course I mean yours!!

I have read all the docs I can find, but I cant find a list of dnnTextSuggest properties, and the existing docs seem to me out of date and all slanted towards .NET 1 and VS2003.  I know that Jon Henning (who does an immense amount of invaluable work on the clientapi) does all the development in .NET 1 to avoid having to maintain 2 code paths, but I was hoping to find more on using this control with VWD under .Net 2 (and we're about to be overtaken by .Net 3...

I have the basic function running under VWD (thanks to your tutorial) but will have to keep asking questions to get all the answers I need.  Then I may document my findings for others!

Without having a sample to look at, if what you are saying is it works right on the webcontrols site, but not locally, I'd say your js files don't match...

If you could provide me with a url to look at, and possibly a sample app exhibiting the problem I could be of more assistance.
