I've been reading about these new features for the links module (the big one is the ability to only display images as links, but we also really need the ability to add a title & description & image for each link) that is being released over the next few months however we're still stuck on version 3.2

Are these new features ever going to be released? If so, what date will the newer version become available? I understand you guys are volunteers, however progress seems to be very slow.

We are volunteers and this is an open-source project. No time line has been given for these and once the next release iteration is outlined and approved, it will be posted on the projects home page.

If you need the features sooner, you are free to download the source code and modify it to suit your needs. There have been many developers that have done this with many different projects and is one of the beautiful things about open source in general. Sure progress has not been what i would have liked it to been this year, but we are making steps to correct this for the future. The maintenace release is already complete, it has just not passed our release process yet and once this is complete the next version will be worked on.
