Hi,

I'm trying to build a classifieds page using the repositiry module. I'd like to have some categories like "Cars", "Computers", "Others", etc.
When the user enters the initial classified page, all classifieds are show. If the user selects a category, only classifieds of the selected category is show. Is it possible to do something like this?

Another question: can I have no categories in a repository? I'd like to have a photos page, where users could upload theirs photos and other users could comment/rate. In this case I do not need any categories. I tried using only the ALL category (I could not delete it), but in this case, when the user adds a photo, he or she should check the ALL category, otherwise the photo will not appear. Most users will forget this, so it is not a good option.

Any ideas how to accomplish these situations?

Part one of your question...... Yes, that is the intention of the categories and is how it works

Part two.... If ALL is the only category then it'll automatically be picked. The only time I've seen it do different is if other categories are added and if those categories are then deleted then I think ALL still needs to be manually picked. The whole ALL category has always caused some confusion. If my memory serves me properly Steve had to add it because a category was/is needed when the module is first placed on a page and ALL made the most sense but in reality the initial category could be called or changed anything (Car, Computers, Others, etc) so he didn't set it up to always select it automatically.
