Hi

I've extended the repository component to provide object level permission.

This allows you to mark each uploaded files with permissions ie.

  • Visible if the user is in any of the selected roles
  • Downloadable if the user is in any of the selected roles

And (a little more specific for our needs)
  • Visible if it was uploaded while the user was in any of the selected roles
  • Downloadable if it was uploaded while the user was in any of the selected roles

I can supply the source to anyone that's interested if they want to fold this back into the main code stream?

Regards Simon

please have a look at  http://www.rezashot.com and http://www.rezashot.com/tabid/1109/Default.aspx

you will find 4 repository modules:

1- The one in http://www.rezashot.com is a regular one.

2- others in the second url are as follows:

Enhancement to repository are as follows:

  • letting module show a view on another repository object
  • changes for multi column view of repository
  • possiblity to see dashbaord style (latest, top10, ...) of objects in repository
  • letting repository to show only one repository object.
  • selective showing of  header and footer of repository.
  • code enhancements for better speed. and a 2 or 3 buggs.

Now I want to integrate UDT to repository such that users be able to define their own data structures,

I like the multi-column and have done the same for a private module I've written that used a fair amount of the Repository functionality. I haven't given it to Steve because I didn't like the way that entries that weren't the same height lined up oddly. I had a fair amount of text in my entries so it looked really odd when one was set lower on the horizontal than its neighbor. I never did find a way to get things to align horizontally along the top.

I have used css classes for items/alternatitems/separator items and data list. All of them work nicely. to line-up you might use vertical-align : top
