Create a directory called c:\data

right click on MyDocuments, move it's location to c:\data

this will copy all of your mydocuments into c:\data and no longer use the \Documents and Settings long pathname...

If you have projects on your desktop, move them to mydocuments.

Having about a half million files nicely organized inside my mydocuments folder, with history dating back to 1999 - this is the first thing I do when I setup a new machine with my files - that way I don't run into long filename issues.

Hope this helps.
