Does the user account in your connection string have the dbo role for your database?

I did a fresh install of 4.4.0 and no such issues. Your error clearly indicates that the user account which is connecting to the db does not have privs to execute a stored procedure.

please notice, that there are additional permissions needed to perform an upgrade, compared to running the site.

Is there an FAQ or documentation anywhere which details which permissions you need for which tasks?  In other words, for a fresh install, do I need dbo privliges just to run the setup and then don't need it after that?  Which additional permissions are needed for an upgrade?

When installing any new modules, the user will have to be able to create tables and stored procedures, and then execute those procedures. They need to share a common owner with the rest of the objects in the database, right?

I'm interested too in the answer to this question in light of leupold's comment here.

during install/upgrades, the database user needs the permission to create, alter and delete objects, i.e. table definitions, views and stored procedures. If you have not specified a specific user for this in your web.config (Cathal Conolly points this out in the security documents, that are included in the documentsation package) the default DNN database user (specified in both connection strings in web.config) needs the permissions to execute database modifications.

I am still having problems. Tried to look what SQL rights where on the user i am using and these how mine looks like :

db_accesadmin
db_datareader
db_datawriter
db_ddladmin
db_securityadmin

Tried to take db_owner but i was not allowed to. I use the same user both in the connection string and in the databaseOwner in the config file. As far as i can see and you can also see it in my first post is that it actually creates tables and stuff so it does have rights but maybe not enough.
