Hello DNNers.  Hope your holidays have been going well.

I am new to DNN 4.x and therefore new to Visual Studios 2003 and ASP.NET 2.x.

I am modifying a DNN module (with source) in Visual Studios 2003.  When I open the project file for this module it tells me that it needs to be converted in order to open in 2003.  I convert it fine and everything works.

However,

When I click on a web control to modify the code behind  of the contorl, rather than be taken to whatever.ascx.vb I am taken to the "source view of whatever.ascx and I can see my declaration declared inside <script runat="server"> tags.

How do I get reconnected to the codebehind .vb file?  I have checked and my codebehind is set to the right location in the Page declaration.

I hope I am explaining this right.  I will be more than happy to clarify if someone can help me out.

Thanks,

Stuart

Stuart, you need VS2005 to work with .NET 2.0.

Whoops that is a typo.  I have Visual Studio 2005.

Thanks for pointing that out Mike.

Heheh I kinda thought it was but figured I'd make sure first.

Is this a DNN 3 module that you're trying to upgrade to DNN 4? Or a module that was already setup for DNN 4? I'm guessing the prior because of the "This needs to be upgraded" message. Have you tried the Module Upgrade Wizard on the downloads page? The last listing of it was for DNN 4.3.7.

It must have been written for DNN 3.x even though the module works fine in DNN 4.x.

I have never noticed the DNN Module Uprgrade Wizard.  Checking it out now.
