I have a graphic that I want to make into a search button, but I do not want to use this method:

<dnn:SEARCH runat="server" id="dnnSEARCH" Submit="img src="search.gif" border="0">" />

because this isn't giving me the control I want to place the graphic where I'm trying to. That method will layout the search button immediately to the right of the search box, rather than allowing any control as to where I want to put the search button.

What I'm looking to do is find is how I can have more control in properly setting my image as a search button, and also placing the corresponding search box independently from this search button (two lines of code rather than one).

I would like to do this properly by using reusable server code, and not manually doing so with the JavaScript dnn generates as this wouldn't be the ideal way to do it.

How to I control these two elements independently (1. using one independent line of server code to make the search box appear, and 2. another independent line of server code to make the search button, made from an image, to appear and execute the search)?

Thank you!

you need to create your own skin object, please refer to the module developer guide for details.
