Does anyone know where to change the prompt that appears on the Manage Password page if a user attempts to change their password to something unacceptable?

Currently it reads "You must enter a valid password. Please check with the Portal Administrator if you do not know the password requirements." I'd like to change it to something that actually tells the user what the requirements are.

In the file /admin/Security/App_LocalResources/Signin.ascx.resx I found this same wording, but after changing it, it didn't affect the prompt on the Manage Password page. I'm hoping someone knows where else this prompt might be.

If I'm correct, I think the valid password is more the length of it?  How did you change the resx file? Did you use just ftp and modify the file? Or did you use the language editor and change it there?

Thanks Nina. I'm pretty sure that a valid password is simply 7 character or less. When I batch uploaded all 500 users for our site, I set their passwords to be "password" (no quotes) and it worked fine.

When I edited the resx file, I simply ftp'ed it because I couldn't find this particular wording anywhere in the language editor.

Its been 2 days since I made my changes and I've cleared out the cache of both my browser and the site (under Host Settings) and still no change, so I don't think I changed the right file.

Does anyone have the answer to my question?
