Hello

I am having a great deal of trouble getting one of my child skins, trying get get it to display as intended.

I have created 3 child portals in (DNNv 4.4.0).

I have created 3 skins (css based with the appropriate DOCTYPE  in the skin header ). Each skin uses a very similar structure and css styling, each using floats.

Skin 1 and 2 are working fine (but need tweeking somewhat) but skin 3  is completely ignoring all the floats and is all over the place.

I have spent many hours checking and rechecked the skin and css file and I just cannot find the cause of the problem.

I was wondering if perhaps if it is because it is the third child and DNN is having a problem with child sites.

I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks

Regards

Lynn

I would rename the classes and create a new skinpack with a different name and use it in misbehaving child portal.

Hello Salaro

Thanks for the tip, it worked (but needs tweeking). But I am still puzzled why skin 3 could have gone so badly wrong.

 hehe :D

This is one of those Doctors prescriptions, with the doctor not having any clue why the pill works. But it just does.

My guess was that there is class conflict with two having the same name and the cache keeps it in memory and it does not clean it up when you move to the third portal.

Yes perhaps that was it.  However, all three skins, used different classes, just a similar style structure. Perhaps it was because all 3 used a similar menu type and DNN fancied a change.  I edited the 3rd skin to use the SolPartMenu, to be different, it obviously  prefers that.
