How can I add a user to a child portal from another child portal through the 3.3.5 interface?

How can I add a common module to all child portals in dnn 3.3.5?

That is not supported by DNN, there are some third party modules around though, by UCanUse and DNNMasters

Our product Portal Mapper does not support DNN 3.3.x+ or DNN 4.3.x+ In the 3.3/4.3 release, DNN dropped the use of the ASP.Net Profile Provider which we depended on for sharing user information between portals.

One way around this limitation is to have all your child portals actually use the same portal.

All you would need after that is to assign different skins to make them look like different sites.

Your different skins could also contain different navigation so that it looks and feels like they are their own portal.

I have a this concept working at www.snapsis.com  if you go to www.dotnetnukeskins.com it is the same portal.

Depending on how much sharing you want to do, this may be an option.

One option is to use an IFrame (although the content will only be updateable in the "owner" site).

After logging into the site containing the module to you want to share across portal, use the Print option for the module to open it in a new window.  The URL of the page that is returned is the URL you would use for an IFrame.
