No File Upload Link for non Admins ?
DNN 4.3.5 - good shared hosting - Docs Module 3.01.06
I need to allow non admins to upload files to some instances of the Documents module.
I have enabled the required roles to edit the module and made sure that folders with the correct permissions are available.
When I log in with a role I need to be able to make uploads I can see the Add New Doc link and access the upload page however the Upload File link is missing ?

BTW - I know I should upgrade but am waiting for the stabilisation release 4.4.1
Thank You Docs Team for fixing the download link behaviour.
FYI: Anyone wanting a module to track all instances of all downloads could try NS Document Report (from snowcovered).
Thanks

I also am having the same problem. Will someone from the development team please advise both of us?

I just figured out the answer to this. You have to specify permissions on a subfolder that you create inside the website that the group who has access to edit the document module can also write to that folder.

Example, I made a Documents subfolder and gave the "subscribers" group to write to the folder.

Now the Upload file link is visible to "subscribers".

Your answer sounds logical but doesn't explain how you have set permissions on the document module to use that subfolder. Please expound on your solution or maybe one on the dev team could deign to participate in the discussion?

In the file manager, I made a new folder called Documents. Then specified that subscribers could write to that folder. I don't think it's a dev issue, it was simply a procedural issue.
