I am having the hardest time finding where I can configure the Attachment Folder.

The Forum_3.20.01_GettingStarted PDF, as well as numerous posts on this group, indicate that I should set it under Forum Administration -> General Settings -> Post Attachments.  Well, neither the Attachments Folder nor Maximum Size options are there.
Another post from Chris indicates that I have to use the Smile Configuration Wizard to set the path.  Well, I suppose I've now activated Smileys, System Avatars, and User Avatars.  But I'll be darned if I found any way to configure the Attachments Folder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using DNN 4.3.7 and Forum 3.20.08.

That version of the forum operates slightly different from the document one. The current version you are using actually uses the core URL Controller. The options to set are under General Settings and the access control is handled from the DNN File Manager.

Is 3.20.08 the current, released version for DNN 4.3.7?  Stating "That version" makes it sound as though I'm not on the "correct" (or rather, "current" version).

The Forum General Settings?  I can't find anywhere to set the Attachment Folder under Forum Administration -> General Settings.  In fact, I can't find anywhere to set it, period.  So the default folder when user goes to upload an attachment is the Root folder, which I do NOT want.

I previously created the folder I want for Forum Attachments via the DNN File Manager and set the access there.  I had no problems with that step.  I just can't find where to tell the Forum module which folder I want it to use.

Thanks.

Right now you don't tell the forums which folder to use. This is a limit of the core URL Controller it uses. 3.20.8 is the last released forum version, 4.4 is the one currently in beta.

If you don't want people in the Root folder, change permissions on the Root folder so they are not permitted in it (file manager).

Will 4.4 allow specifying a folder to use for attachments?

Thanks
