When I am trying to add roles to the Authorized Edit Roles for a particular forum, I am not able to search or choose any roles.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue.  I click the search for role button, get the pop-up window and select my roles, and click the open (or go or continue can't remember exact text) but get an access is denied javascript error.  Not sure why.

Oooh I think I found what was going on with mine, and maybe it will help you solve your problem as well.  I found that if I went to the address listed in the javascript error I was able to get the roles to stick.

I think the forum module doesn't like domain masking, and I was using domain masking to keep users from seeing exactly what my page names are.  If you're using masking as well you might try that and see if it works.

I hope it helps! :D
