I'm having the same issue here. I searched on this forum and found that the user needs to be 'trusted' to be able to edit there own posts. However this also gives the user the ability to post messages without approval on moderated forums. So, isn't there any other way to give users the ability to edit there own post? Preferable some setting that can be applied to all instead of per user bases.
Also, why is this the default behaviour? Why should a user not be able to edit there own posts without extra permissions configurations.

Kind regards,
Dennis Steehouwer.

Thanks for the tip here.

This was extremely un-intuitive that users shouldn't be able to edit their own content once they push the post button.

I'd love to see little tips like this make a FAQ sticky?  I see this as a simple but valuable thing that could be done to improve the DNN experience through all the forums.

Seems there's another short coming to this feature behaving like this?

I'm only able to "trust" the user if they've visited the forums at least once?  Otherwise they're not showing up in my manage users area to grant this access to.  :(

Is there an easy edit I could do to one of the modules so this is a default or something instead of having to manipulate ever account on my site?

IN the next version I have added the ability to 'auto trust' new users. I am also working on a bg task that grabs new users and puts them into the forum daily.
