Anyone got any ideas, because my site qcyc.com.au is now offline.  When you go to the site you get "An error has occurred" and no logging info.  The logs that are referenced above don't even exist.  the URL after browsing the site reads ...

http://www.qcyc.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=53&error=Data+at+the+root+level+is+invalid.+Line+46%2c+position+16.&content=0

Need urgent help please we have a yacht race to run in one week and people need their entry forms.

Regards,

Ben

nebsy, I can't help with the technical details, but, to reduce the embarrasment factor I would recommend creating a file called app_offline.htm in the root folder with a message in it saying the site is down for maintenance, or something similar.

Again, I'm a bit of a new comer to DNN, but I understood that 3.x is for .NET 1 and 4.x is for .NET 2 and that there is much more complexity in converting from one to the other than installing DNN V4 on top of a V3 installation. But you've probably already investigated all that.

Kind regards, JP (also in Brisbane and a sailor too!)
