Thanks in advance to the DNN community.

I recently upgraded a website that I manage from DNN 3.3.4 to 3.3.7. I did this by installing them in sequence 3.3.5 to 3.3.6 to 3.3.7.

The install page got hung up during the 3.3.7 installation and eventually it just timed out with a blank white screen. When I tried to access the default homepage I got the lovely Server Error in '/' Application screen.

Due to some confusion between myself and the other server admin we think that the 3.3.7 installation was being performed during a backup of our servers. Since we couldn't afford to have the site down totally we copied our last good 3.3.4 backup of the site over and the seemed to work fine. We did notice that it was showing the DNN Version as 3.3.4 running with a database version of 3.3.7. When we tried to upgrade the site again under normal conditions we got the same bad result. No we have discovered we are stuck kind of in limbo and some modules are not working 100% correctly.

We would like to get this site upgraded to be fully 3.3.7, but we are unsure of what steps to take. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

try to unzip the 3.3.7 files again and adopt web.config as required. if sites works fine afterwards - great, otherwise you need to restore 3.3.4 database backup.

Thanks for the information. Is there anything I can do in the event that I do not have a backup of the 3.3.4 database available to me?

Oh wonderful I'm familiar with that process. So basically the worst that will probably happen is I may have logon problems afterwards, but no data loss.
