Thanks for this tread. It resolved my problem but it brings up another question.
Also found in the bin directory of one of those "other" versions, is a DotNetNuke.DNNTreeNavigationProvider XML file.
What is the XML file used for?
Should it be copied too?
My last question: anyone providing the answer part of this thead always seem to use plural when describing missing .dlls. So...
What other dll, xml, or other files were omitted that should have been included?
Thanks to all who contriubute problems -and- resolutions. I saw this tread when it was first posted. While I didn't have an answer, I could see someone else was deailing with the same problem. So, I have it a few days, checked back, and Volia resolution.
Q. How to get your portal back if you don't have a copy of the above files:
A. If you do set your portal skin to vertical, before you apply this fix; you may not be able to login to your site because of the error messages. One easy fix is to, using SQL Server Management Tool (or some other sql tool), open the SKINS table and remove the entries in the table that pertain to the site you are locked out of. Give the cache time to clear and return to your site. Removing these entries will reset your site back to default skins.
