I am a newb to DNN so sorry up front.

I installed DNN 4.3.7 on an ISP100 server with a pent 3 processor, has 1 gig Ram.  Running windows 2003 recent clean install.  SQLExpress 2005. 

After Running through a few installation issues I finaly got a page to show up on the server /localhost, and I have configured IIS for distribution of the web site, but when ever I call up the web site via the internet, the browser times out and I get the message that "IE cannot display the webpage" ...  I noticed that it does take some 40-45 seconds for the server browser to display the "home" page (default.aspx). 

I do have another HTML based site that is on the same server and it pops right up when called via the internet. The 2 sites are on different IP addresses.  Is there a way to speed up the displaying of the webpage or have I misconfigured the IIS some how?  Any assistance would be appreciated.....Thanks

1 GB RAM is not very much for a server - you might consider to add at least another GB

Besides startup time depends on the DNN version Number and the number of modules installed. I suggest to upgrade to DNN 4.4.1, that has a number of significant performance improvements and also remove all modules you don't use, as they get also compiled on startup and kept in memory.
