I'm getting the following error after applying the 4.4.1 Installation package to my previous 4.4 installation:

"DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified) "

I followed the instructions in the documentation, and I've ensured that the database connection strings and machine keys match in the web.config to the old version. Does anyone have an idea what may be causeing this?

To add to my above post, my SQL Server 2005 is configured to allow remote connections.

I've got exactly the same problem for a fresh install...

Any help is appreciated.

I also get this issue when trying to install a brand new 4.4.1 (from the source package) to a new database on a SQL2005 named instance. ( Server=MyDevDB\Sql2005;)
