I am getting the following error when attempting to open the Host Settings on a clean install of 4.4.1

Everything else seems to be functioning normal, any ideas?

i had the same problem,

according to http://dnnblog.venexus.com/default,date,2005-12-04.aspx

you should give the NETWORK SERVICE account full permissions on c:\windows\temp and c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727

this has worked for me
