I am new to DNN and i dont now mutch about SQL and VWD??? Please help me....

Error:----> begin

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:\Inetpub\DotNetNuke\App_Data\DotNetNuke.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share.

 SQL 2005 Express settings:

User Name: AMDA2X64\Kjetil

Server Name:AMDA2X64\DNN_KR

Instance Name: DNN_KR

web.config:

 

What is wrong????

if you try to use a file based database with SQL express, make sure you do not touch the file with other tools like the database studio. Have a look at Shaun Mehaffies blog here on dotNetNuke.com, he analysed the handling of file based databases a few months ago.

I have now used the installer, and everything is working fine!!!! So to all of you that are trying to use the DNN, TRY THE INSTALLER!!!!!!!

This workes fine for me, and it will works for all you that are trying to install it to.....
