I need help with the connection string of the web.config for SQL.. My SQL is the 2000 version.

This is the error that I get:

Error Installing DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 04.04.01

ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

This is my configuration:

<!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005-->
    <add
      name="SiteSqlServer"
  connectionString="myserver.net;Database=mydatabase;uid=sampleadmin;Trusted_Connection=yes;pwd=mypassword;"
      providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

This is what I have from godaddy
 connectionstring= "Data Source=myserver.net;Initial Catalog=mydatabase;User ID=sampleadmin;Password='mypassword';

What am I doing wrong? Any Ideas?

Ok, finaly by trial and error I was able to figure out the correct string connection under goddady.

Now I have another problem. I tried to install the forum module and for some reason it can't connect the database. I installed DNN inside a directory since godaddy would not allow me to install it on the root. and I dont know if that's the problem. Can someone advise me about this ? thanks.

did you try to use the connection string from Godaddy without modification?

in my eyes the "Data Source=" is missing

Well, the problem was that I needed to repeat the Server name in the last line of the connection string.

That solved my problem.
