The "object reference not set to an instance" problem in 4.4.1 has not received any satisfactory response to my knowledge. Many folks don't experience it. I've installed 4.4.1 numerous times. I've always been able to log in, unlike you, but at host settings, site settings, file manager, log viewer, often (not always!) get repeated critical error messages, mostly being "object reference not set to an instance." With the log viewer, on occasion I get a refreshingly different error about xml log binding.

This happens, btw, with and without compression and whitespacefilter turned on.

4.4.1 has received great reviews from many, but for me it has been a very painful experience adding up to much wasted time. Disappointing, because I'm excited about the new performance enhancements.

Thanks for responding. I expected someone to post the same day I opened this but I guess, like you say no one has took the lead on these errors.

I have used DNN in the past and was planning on migrating my hosted web sites to one of the providers that actually host a more current version for the new enhancements. But, this one has left a sour taste in my mouth.

A wizard was posted for this version that I may try. I have just spent so many hours trying to get to this point, I hate to start all over again.
