I am trying to decide on the server requirements for a new DotNetNuke installation. I have will about 25 websites running off this installation on this server.

My decision comes down to this. What's more import for DotNetNuke: CPU power, amount of memory (RAM), or disk IO, and in what order?

Below are the two options I have for dedicated servers. Based on your experience with DotNetNuke, which is the best one for me to get?

Server 1 Config (more CPU power but slower hard drives and less RAM than option 2):
Dual Opteron 2212 Dual Core Processor (4 processors total)

I just realized that my previous post's subject heading is not quite accurate. I just wanted to update so hopefully more people will read it.

Carol,

Either would work fine. We are running about a half million user sessions a day across about 30 sites on a single server (3 DNN the rest a mix of ASP and .Net) with a dual core P4 and 4 gigs of Ram.  The only time the server even flinches is when an app is loading the first time but once it's precompiled it runs smooth hovering at around 15% utilization). If you are after a performance bump you may want to consider 2 lower powered machines and host SQL Server on it's own box.
