I've installed DNN v4.4.1 with success although I encountered some problems with a skin so I tried to uninstall by deleting all files from the directory and corresponding tables and stored procedures from the SQL Server.

This worked fine.

I then came to reinstall DNN v4.4.1 by placing all the files back in the directory and going to it in my web broswer. The installation began and completed successfully with two errors in DotNetNuke.Schema.SqlDataProvider & DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider.

Although this happened DNN seems to work fine.

However, in the ../Portals folder I only have a _default folder and not two additional portal folders I have setup.

Has anyone had any similar problems where the portal folders are not created?

If no one has doe anyone know of how I can completely remove DNN v4.4.1 and reinstall?

Anybodies help would be much appreciated.

I recommend to reinstall DNN, i.e. re-unzip the isntallation files, delete and recreate the database and re-adopt the web.config

Chris,

I've had the same problem and so have several others.

The first step is to try a recursive resync in the file manager. If that doesnt work try making a backup copy of your install then do a fresh install. I was then able to copy my DB,my portal files, and my desktop modules over successfully though I'd do this one step at a time making sure that the file manager works after each step..

Do you have any third party modules installed if so which ones? I have a module I half suspect of being the cause but I want some confirmation before I point fingers.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried the recursive resync but nothing changed.

I'll take a backup and try the fresh install, hopefully, this will resolve it. Although I've already tried this once.

I'll let you know if it works.

Same problem here. I'm using BizModule's Portal Tips and found that (like a lot of other modules) it has a problem in 4.4.1. The supplier has debugged and re issued the module within 24 hours of me informing them, great support.

Anyway, If you use this module, it's probably the cause.
