I have already installed "install package", is it enough just to copy "library","dotnetnuke.sln" and "dotnetnuke.suo" form source package beside my website folder in order to have source file to change?
And when i open sln file, it opens in different root, how can i apply my changes in VB file to my site?
my website is in the seprate server and i want to make change from a client.

I'm new in the web programming! Any help would be useful.

Thanks

You should get the source package.

You will need to edit the .sln file in a text editor to get the location to match yours.

DNN is a great environment but it is a bit scary if you're really fresh to ASP.net.

Thanks for your reply
Fortunately i have the code that i need to change!! :) But i do not know how??
I downloaded source to my desktop, you mean open sln file in text editor and correct project path to my current website path witch is in remote server? (My website is not in my client, it is on the intranet server).
I need to change 2 Vb files, after that i have to rebuild the project, and then does it implement to my portal?

You will really need to get the project running locally to be able to build your solution.

There are some really great tutorials out there. I can warmly recommend the articles by Adefwebserver

Thanks for your help, I read the documents over there .just i have a question.

Can i copy folder "library" and sln file to my root, change the path in sln file and rebuild the solution instead of extract source zip file and install it?

I mean that in this way i do not need to install it because i already have dnn installed, does it work? Or i need to reinstall my dnn with source zip file again?
