Hi,

I'm just triying to install DotNetNuke 4.0.2.

The Install Page

http://<host>/Install/Install.aspx?mode=Install

gives a configuration page that informs me to change permissions on the virtual root to

give NETWORK SERVICE r/w/ change control permissons. But I already have set them. What is going wrong?

Regards
Thomas Hornschuh

You also need to give those same permissions to the ASPNET account.

Thomas,

check first which identity is used from the application pool which you are using for the web in iis.

Open the iis administration tool, open the property page of the webpool and have a look at the tab identity.

Then set the folder permission for your dnn application and all sub folders to the user which is used in the identity of the application pool. And take care of that this user has even at minimum read access to the root drive where your dnn folder is located.

regards

HP
