QI get some errors from the SqlDataProvider 04.05.00 by updating my DNN 4.4.1 to 4.5.0 that using not 'dbo' as DatabaseOwner ! Here is the SQL LOG:

These errors remind be of another forum post relating to a version 4.4.1 install in which there had been multiple failed attempts due to connection string problems then a string of invalid object errors all relating to CREATE VIEW with a non-dbo owner schema. I thought that the user had changed the {databaseOwner} value from dbo to nuke then back to dbo during the several attempts but now I'm not so sure.

I looked at the 04.05.00SqlDataProvider script. Clearly {databaseOwner} should have been prefixed the table object names for all of the icon file updates and for the ModuleControls table updates. I also recall reading somewhere that when using CREATE VIEW (unlike CREATE PROCEEDURE where qualifying the proceedure name seems to set the owner qualifer for all database objects within the proceedure) it is not sufficient to just qualify the view name with the non-dbo owner schema but that all database object references also needed to be qualified. I can't find that reference unfortunately. None of the CREATE VIEW scripts in 04.05.00SqlDataProvider explicitely used {databaseOwner} as a prefix to table object references.

I am NOT a T-SQL expert by any stretch of the imagination so may be way off base here and would welcome others to comment, particularly in the need to use an owner qualifier when referring to database objects in CREATE VIEW.

No this issue is if you have not 'dbo' as DatabaseOwner ! There was no change on the DatabaseOwner ! This install was allways work with other name then 'dbo', there was no wrong upgrade on Versions before!

I should have made it more clear in my post that this is what I thought about another similar forum post a few days ago, not your particular situation. It appears to me that there are many places (the icon and various module table updates in particular) in the 04.05.00SqlDataProvider script that database objects should have been preceeded with the {databaseOwner} token so that they would be qualified for an owner schema other than dbo. Without that, I can see that you would be getting the exact problem your're getting.

What I'm not sure about is the need to have used {databaseOwner} token before any database objects specified in a CREATE VIEW script. It would be interesting to look back at the scripts for earlier versions when views first began to be used to see if CREATE VIEW scripts had been so qualified. Was version 4.4.1 a new install or was it an upgrade from an earlier version?

OK. I have post it here, becourse I think it is to modified for quallity this SqlDataProvider from the Core Team. I have modified this Provider, and can now install. If there is interest from the Core Team, so I will send it via Mail to chek my modification, an add this changes to the install files. I think there are more users, that do not use the standard DatabaseOwner 'dbo', so many users have this problem. I see it so with this Dataprovider.

The stand DatabaseOwner knows many pepole, but do I changed this so is my database more safe for haking!
