I've just done the upgrade path from 4.4.1 to 4.5 and am running in to the following error below.  Please note that I copy and pasted in the web.config keys, installation date and setup the connection strings properly in to the new release.config (and renamed it accordingly) and also put the objectqualifier as to what it shouldbe from my original web.comfig

The error is as follows:

Compilation Error

Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: BC30451: Name 'AssemblyPath' is not declared.

Source Error:

Line 247:            HostMapPath = Server.MapPath(HostPath)
Line 248:
Line 249: AssemblyPath = ApplicationMapPath & "\bin\dotnetnuke.dll"
Line 250:
Line 251: 'Check whether the current App Version is the same as the DB Version

Source File: \\NAS1\Home\M\MNU631\www\dnn\App_Code\Global.asax.vb    Line: 249

Any help would be appreciated.

please make sure, that additional app_code folders are also transferred to your new web.dconfig.

Ok forgive my ignorance (as i'm totally new to all of the dotnetnuke stuff), but besides going and comparing the web.configs line by line is there an easier way to actually see/find any addtional app_code folders?

I prefer to use winMerge (www.winmerge.org)

winMerge is pretty slick, thanks for the advice on that.  However, I did not notice any discrepancies that would cause that.  Everything seemed in order between the two, but then again I've never really looked through this stuff before so I could be totally missing it.

Below is the only section talking about app_code, and it's the same for both the new and old configs.  Again, thanks for the help in advance.  I am just totally perplexed.

<!-- register your app_code subfolders to generate granular assemblies during compilation
      <codeSubDirectories>
         <add directoryName="sub-directory name"/>
      </codeSubDirectories>
