I'm trying to install DNN in a subdirectory of my website. It has been configured as a web application, and I can install DNN using /subdirectory/Install/install.aspx?mode=install, and I get a success message! the 'click here to access your portal' URL is subdirectory/default.aspx, however it's rerouted to root/install and doesn't find that folder (b/c it's not in the website root). How can I avoid having DNN look at the entire website's requests and only look at requests to the subdirectory in which I installed it?

Thanks,
Andy Gill

please enter the database directly and check the entries in the portalAlias table, it should be sth like "localhost/subdirectory" or "pcName/subdirectory"

OK that's getting something to happen; however, I keep getting redirected a hundred times in a second and firefox says that it can't load the page, that it'll never load correctly because of the redirect.
