Having downloaded and installed the Source version of 4.5.0, I have to say, Great Job DNN Team!! *applause* I have been developing in DNN since 2.0.1 and this portal has come a very long way. I am really very happy to see your AJAX implementation. It seems to be very well thought out. I like the ability to enable or disable the AJAX controls in the module definitions / controls pages too.

Forgive me if this has already been addressed but, I was wondering if there will be a 4.5.0 starter kit release in the near future. In the meantime, I converted all my WAP modules into WSP modules for the sake of upgrading as all my custom modules are now using the ajaxControlToolkit in some way-shape-or-form.

Cheers!

unfortunately there are issues with some changes, that prevent creating the Starter Kit (due to path length limitations). This shall be solved soon and I expect, there will be a 4.5.1 Starter Kit, when ready.

OK.  It's been awhile for me.

So, I have tried this on two machines.  One running Vista, and the other running XP.  Both have VS 2005, Visual Web Developer, and SQL 2005 installed.  I downloaded the starter kit and installed it just fine.  Go into either Visual Web Developer or Visual Studio and create a new web site, using the DNN starter kit.  Each time, and each machine, I get the following error:

Cannot Find File: c:\documents and settings\jspohn\application data\microsoft\visual studio\8.0\projecttemplatescache\visual web developer\visual basic\dotnetnuke.zip\dotnetnuke.webproj.

I re-read the installation instructions in SHawn's post, but nothing jumps out @ me.  Any help?

The path is probably too long.  Try setting it up so that it runs from a shorter path.
