My client is asking me for specific minimum hardware requirments for a DotNetNuke portal. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

This is a very complex question as it greatly depends on the intended use of the site, the number of users, the number of pages and the amount of content among other factors.

Yes, I completely understand. But as with mist big companies, they want some sort of metric to compare to. Is there a chart or a document that gives any sort of baseline for a variety of DNN environments? Anything at this moment would prove useful.

Thanks,
Frank

The minimum requirements to run the server OS and SQL Server are the minimum to run DNN.  Naturally, it's a useless piece of information since nobody ever runs a minimum configuration, but it will make a management-type happy.

If you are looking for ballpark figures then research server configurations for ASP.Net and SQL Server in general, that's what DNN is.
