I initially installed 4.5 Source but now realize that is overkill for me.  I'm planning on developing a few custom modules, but won't need the source for the core for that.  I don't want to lose any of my recent changes but I want to delete all of the files on my dev machine and start using the Install version.  Any suggestions?

Any help out there would be nice.  I'm thinking I'll just delete all of the files in my working directory and unzip the new ones in place.  Will that work?  I've made no changes to the web pages and have not uploaded any files.  The only changes have been data (from what I can tell).
