My hosting company recently upgreaded my install from 3.1.1 to 3.1.2 and ALL the user passwords were reset.

I can't friggin believe it!

Is this normal or did they goof.

If it's not normal does anyone have any idea why this happened or how to correct it?

Thanks

Dave

hm, 3.1.2, i hope you mean 3.2.2 or 3.2.1.  I think the problem is they didn't use the former web.config's machinekey.  This would be the cause of the password issue.

Oops, yea you're right it was to 3.2.1, I'm so flustered I can't type straight.

I found a post on ASP.NET that addresses the issue.  The problem not is that I'm not sure their support is open on the weekend and if they do go back and fix it the users that have registered in the interim will be lost.

This is very upsetting to me.

Thanks for the info.
