This is version 4.5.1.

The skin worked prior to the deletion of the original home page.  The skin in use has worked through 4 installations of dotnetnuke.  Two in 4.4.1, one in 4.5 and it worked initially in 4.5.1

Looks like something is very wrong (guess you knew that...)

What you could try is to edit the database directly.

Open the Tabs table

Look for the "Home" page

Set the "IsDeleted" value to 0

That might bring you back to a working situation

Already tried that.  For some reason the page wasn't in there.  When I was logged in and the site was working, I didn't see the page in the recycle bin.  I deleted the page from the "Pages" dialog.  Perhaps this is a bug?

Thank you for all your help on this.

I am still on 4.4 and it started happening to me yesterday. the site was fully functional prior to that. it seems to happen only in FF to me, but other users have reported the problem as well with IE.

Some things I have read about and checked in my case (but hasnt fixed the problem)

1) Make sure that if compression is used, that you add WebResource.axd to the exception list.

2) In the file types of the IIS website properties, .axd files should not 'verify exist'

If anyone else has a clue or hint on what to try please help!
