I am installing the database on a SQL 2000 but after a while I get

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...FAILURE 400 - Thread was being aborted.

and it freezes there.

However, objects are created in the database, both tables ([Affiliates] .. [Version]) and stored procedures ([AddModuleControl] ..[UpdateModuleSetting])

It almost sounds like the application was trying to shutdown during the process (Thread aborting error).  Were you given any other error messages?

No, no other messages, it just stopped there. The database was on a remote server but the connection was good. I tried it on a local database and it worked fine.

and I am having it too

but i had noticed the two following errors while compiling

 

Error 2 Could not write lines to file "obj\Provider.Caching.BroadcastPollingCachingProvider.SQLDataProvider.vbproj.FileList.txt". The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters. Provider.Caching.BroadcastPollingCachingProvider.SQLDataProvider
