hi, i am facing problem in installing DNN 4.

Error is below:

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist.

plz help me in this regard...

please make sure, both connection strings in your web.config point to your database. I recommend using the latest version 4.5.1, that has an installation wizard, guiding you through the installation process.

in my web.config i have only one conenction string. can u send me correct web.config file at info@alinawaz.com

please use release.config as template. There must be one connection string in connectionStrings section (key SiteSqlServer) and one in appSettings section (key SiteSqlServer).

When you upgrade your database you must copy your fields  validationKey and decryptionKey in the <machineKey> Tag in your <system.web> Tag from your old web.config. When you forget this you cant't connect you with your updated database.
