Hello

I am having problems trying to upgrade from version 3.2.0 to 3.3.7, I hope someone can help! Basically, I copy the files for the new version onto my webserver (over any that exist already). I have updated the web.config file by copying my specific stuff into it.

When I call up a page it automatically goes to install instead of upgrade mode... it starts by installing 3.1.0 then on through the each other version. A couple of errors occur, presumably because I already have the tables for v3.2.0 in the DB? Anyway, it competes the install through to v.3.3.7, but as its treating it as an install, I am left with a blank 3.3.7 portal at the end - all my others from 3.2.0 are gone.

What could I be doing wrong? Is there a way of forcing the process to update instread of install? Its probably something simple... I hope!

Thanks in advance

Mike

make sure, you transfer the connection string correctly, as well as databasOwner and Objectqualifier, down in the sqldataprovider section of your web.config
